Keynote Speaker: Mike Garchik
Mike Garchik joined JM Zell in 2019, bringing ten years of successful project management and program development experience in commercial and multifamily real estate development. Mike most recently served as Director of Construction with MRK Partners, Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of multifamily renovation projects including conceptual design, scope development, budget creation, A/E design, and all third-party coordination through construction and closeout. He oversaw renovation of more than 2000 units across five states, totaling over $120M in construction costs.
Prior to that, Mike was with the New York firm SJM Partners, Inc., where he was assigned as the dedicated development manager/development coordinator for redevelopment of the George Washington Bridge Bus Station for the New York/New Jersey Port Authority. The $180M redevelopment of the existing facility included relocating the bus station to the third floor of the complex, creating a new transportation hub, new vertical transportation through-out, as well as adding over 129,000 sf of new retail space. The entire project had to be completed while actively suspended above the most traveled section of highway in the United States and maintaining full operations of the bus station throughout construction. Mike received a BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University. He is OSHA 30 certified. |
